Brandon Music presents the Jonathan Lorentz Trio

Brandon, VT -

Brandon Music is delighted to present Vermont native jazz musician Jonathan Lorentz and his trio. Jonathan Lorentz is a saxophonist, composer and arranger. His sound on tenor saxophone echoes John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins and Joe Lovano and is further influenced by mentors George Garzone, Ralph Lalama, and Lenny Pickett. Jon's music combines elements of jazz, blues, and the avant-garde. Jon's most recent recording Borderlands (2010) includes his current trio of bassist John Menegon and drummer David Calarco, and features vocalists Teri Roiger and Suzanne Kantorski. The album is Lorentz's first on the Métier Jazz label, a division of Brandon Music. Now a resident of Round Lake, NY, Jon continues to perform regularly throughout the Northeast with his jazz trio and with the alt-jazz band Crystal60.

The concert will be held at Brandon Music, Saturday October 23, 2010 at 7:00pm. Tickets ($15.00) can be purchased at Brandon Music or by calling 802-465-4071 (10:00 am to 6:00pm any day except Tuesday). Seating is Limited, so reservation is strongly advised. Ticket price includes complimentary beverages, and the Harmony range of cakes sweets and delights will be available for purchase, too.
