Touring the globe, living their musical dream, folk/Americana singer-songwriters, Caroline Cotter and Emily Scott Robinson will share the stage.

Caroline and Emily met in 2015 while Caroline was touring through Chattanooga, Tennessee, where Emily was living and writing songs. The two connected through mutual friends, and their love for songwriting, and together planned a tour for March 2017 through Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. This November, the two songwriters are reuniting for a tour through the Northeast with shows in Massachusetts, Maine, and Vermont. Caroline returns to Brandon Music, having wowed audiences with Emily Mure earlier this year, but this marks Emily's first appearance at the red barn.

With an angelic voice and lyrics laid bare, Emily is pioneering her own brand of roots music she calls Southern Gothic folk. She enchants audiences with stories and songs that are equal parts playful, darkly funny, heart-wrenching and redemptive.

In 2017, Emily was named a winner of the 2017 Wildflower Festival Performing Songwriter Contest. In 2016, she won the Grassy Hill New Folk Competition at Kerrville Folk Festival and received an Honorable Mention in the Troubadour Contest for the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. In 2015, she won first place in the American Songwriter May/June Lyric Contest, as well as an Honorable Mention in the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase. Emily released her debut album, Magnolia Queen, in February 2016. She is currently touring full time, living on the road with her husband in their RV, writing and performing across the country.

Caroline's captivating soprano voice and award-winning songwriting takes you all over the world: from a Parisian salon, to an Indian ashram, to a bluegrass festival campfire, to the depths of the human heart.

Dreaming as I Do, Caroline's 2015 debut national release, showcases original compositions from her time exploring the globe. Receiving national recognition, the album reached #5 on the Folk DJ charts in February, with Bella Blue the second most played song of the month.

Since the album's release, Caroline has been on the road touring non-stop throughout the US and Europe, playing over 200 shows a year in venues from Club Passim in Boston, to the Alberta Rose Theater in Portland, Oregon. Caroline was showcased at the Northeastern Regional Folk Alliance Conference as well as the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance Conference.

This event is a part of Vermont Arts 2017, celebrating arts in Vermont.
